Event Starts In
The TriQuest Competition at Defence Career Expo is a
comprehensive personality and aptitude challenge designed to simulate key
stages of the defence selection process. Open to aspiring defence candidates
and NCC Cadets, it includes the following sub competitions:

PPDT (Picture Perception and Discussion Test): To
assess observation and communication skills.
·
GPE (Group Planning Exercise): To evaluate
leadership and decision-making under pressure.
·
Lecturette: To test clarity of thought and
confidence.
·
Mock Interview: To refine personality and
officer-like qualities.
TriQuest is a platform to experience, prepare, and prove
your potential for a career in the armed forces.
Please review the following guidelines and event-specific
rules carefully before completing your registration.
General Conduct
●
Punctuality: All participants must report to
their respective venues at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
●
Evaluation: Professional feedback and lessons
learned will be provided by the Group Testing Officer (GTO) or Interviewing
Officer after each session.
●
Shortlisting: Progression to subsequent rounds
is strictly based on performance and evaluation in the preliminary stages.
●
Participation: Triquest is for both NCC Cadets
and other Participants
Note: Only limited seats are available for Triquest.
Registration Fees: Rs. 200 (Per Individual)
1. Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PPDT)
●
Observation: You will be shown one
picture for 30 seconds.
●
Individual Task: You must frame and write
a logical story within 4 minutes and narrate it for 1 minute.
Note: Written expression is not the primary judging criteria for this round.
●
Group Discussion: Participants have 15
minutes to discuss and arrive at a consensus story. One participant must be
nominated to narrate the final group story.
● Shortlisting: Approximately 30 candidates will advance to the GPE.
2. Group Planning Exercise (GPE)
●
Analysis: Participants will receive a
situational problem with multiple constraints on a map which will be given on a
board or projected on a screen, A narrative explanation of the situation in the
map will be given in a paper and participants will be given a duration of 5
minutes to read the document. Then the candidates will be asked to return the
paper to the assessor. The participants will have 10 minutes to prepare a
written solution individually.

Discussion: The group will have 15
minutes to collaborate and form a common plan. One candidate may be selected to
present the final group plan.
●
Criteria: Unlike PPDT, both written power
of expression and verbal abilities are evaluated.
3. Lecturette
●
Preparation: You will be given a topic
and 3 minutes to prepare. Note: Only the first candidate gets a dedicated
3-minute prep window; others prepare while the preceding candidate speaks.
●
Execution: You must speak continuously on
the chosen topic for 3 minutes.
4. Mock Interview
●
Selection: Only 1–2 top-performing
candidates will be selected for this final simulation.
●
Assessment: Candidates will face a panel
evaluating personality, motivation, leadership potential, and general awareness.
