About Event
EX-RESEARCH HACKATHON 2026, themed “AI-Driven Innovation in Technical Textiles,” is a 5-hour interdisciplinary hackathon organized by the Department of Textile Technology. The event focuses on areas like medical textiles, smart and wearable textiles, protective and industrial textiles, sustainable materials, and textile process optimization using AI. Teams of 2–4 members, especially combining Textile and AI/Tech backgrounds, will participate. The hackathon includes orientation, problem release, research and ideation, AI-based solution design, prototype development, and final presentations judged by a technical jury. With a total prize pool of ₹18,000, it fosters innovation, research thinking, and industry-oriented problem solving.
